All oil pastel works are sprayed with fixative prior to shipping. In any case, oil pastel is a medium that never truly sets and paint may move if disturbed. For this reason all work will arrive packaged in glassine paper with either cardboard or foam boards on either side of the work. I recommend storing the work flat between the cardboard/foam boards and wrapped in the glassine paper until framing. Glassine paper is acid free and protects the work from things like dust and hair. NB: Do not place any objects on top of the work while it is being stored.

Oil pastel works never truly set (even with fixative) and therefore must be framed in a mindful way behind glass. I recommend using a matt board or alternatively engaging a professional framer to float the work behind glass.
